Celebrating Our Heroes: Teacher Appreciation Week at Blue Ribbon Results Academy

At Blue Ribbon Results Academy (BRRA), we believe that teachers are the heart and soul of our educational community. From May 5-9, 2025, we're dedicating an entire week to celebrating these incredible educators who shape our children's futures through brain-based learning and dedicated care.

Who We're Celebrating

Our amazing team includes 37 passionate educators/support staff across our Norfolk and Dumfries campuses:

• 18 dedicated classroom teachers and assistants leading Prek 2 - Kindergarten

• 10 committed aftercare and substitute teachers

• 9 dedicated admin/building support staff

These educators arrive early, stay late, and pour their hearts into creating an enriching environment where our children thrive from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM every day.

A Week of Delicious Appreciation

Our parent community is coming together to create a week-long celebration featuring themed meals that promise to energize and delight our teachers:

Monday - "Morning Motivation Monday"

Start the week with a build-your-own breakfast bar! Nothing says "thank you" like a fresh, energizing breakfast to kick off the day.

Tuesday - "Taco Tuesday"

We're spicing things up with a Mexican fiesta lunch that brings flavor and fun to our teachers' day.

Wednesday - "Waffle Wednesday"

Sweet and savory combine in this creative breakfast station that lets our teachers customize their perfect morning meal.

Thursday - "Thanks a Bunch Lunch"

A fresh and satisfying sandwich and salad bar gives our teachers the fuel they need to finish the week strong.

Friday - "Fuel Up Friday"

We're closing the week with a healthy power breakfast featuring smoothies and protein-packed options to energize our educators.

Why It Matters

Our teachers don't just teach – they inspire, nurture, and help implement Virginia's Early Learning and Development Standards with creativity and dedication. They're the ones who make BRRA Virginia's Premier Brain-Based Learning Preschool, creating an environment where every child, from age 2.5 to Kindergarten, can flourish.

Through their commitment to our core curriculum – from Language Arts and Math Readiness to Science and Fine Arts – our teachers ensure that every child receives a well-rounded education that prepares them for future success.
